I'm just such a fashionista ...

That I own the same sunglasses that Calvin Harris owns. That's right. I bet no one else can say that. Here they are in all their glamourous-ness:

And here is Calvin wearing them:

THEY'RE JUST SO GLAM!
AND I AM JUST A GLAMKING, OBVIOUSLY.

I'm awful.

I haven't blogged in .. FOUR DAYS!
Ughhhhh.
So I'll blog tonight.
That's all.

OH BY THE WAY, MY SPICE GIRLS SHIRT ARRIVED IN THE MAIL THIS WEEK.
BE JEALOUS!

27 August 2007

Jeeze, somebody's getting popular...

Alright, so aside from producing his own album; working with Kylie, Roisin Murphy and the Mitchell Brothers; remixing for Groove Armada, CSS, and tons of others. We can officially now add "working with Kelis" to Calvin Harris' list of accomplishments. He's produced her new single 'Jury Duty' which is supposed to be released in November. If it's anywhere near as good as Kelis' collaborations with Richard X it will be amazing!

Okay, I'm pissed!

Calvin Harris' lastest single 'Merrymaking At My Place' didn't even make top 40 in the charts this week! What the hell? Clearly the single buying public are even bigger doorknobs than I already thought.

That's all.

(Oh, by the way, it debuted at #67, how shit!)

26 August 2007

I love this!

A*TEENS!
I absolutely love this group, they ALL can actually sing, which is nice for starters. But back on topic, obviously the song is amazing. But the video is like the best thing I've seen in ages. It's basically the perfect video for the lead single to a greatest hits album, I think so atleast. In case you can't tell, it's the group at the time of their greatest hits release, which was like 2004, interacting with themselves in their old music videos! It's quite clever, well I think so atleast. That's all I have to say for now. But after this another A*Teens post is certainly in order.

25 August 2007

Slow down the single-ingle-ingle-eh-eh-ehs pleaseeee!

JEEZE ISLAND RECORDS - YOU SUCK!
It's time for you to face the sad truth that you well and truly suck. And are screwing over the one of the only artists worth listening to on your label - Rihanna. 'Umbrella' was released in what, June? And it clearly was huge. SO WHY CHUCK OUT 'Shut Up And Drive' so soon. And then like 2 weeks later, hey! why not toss 'Don't Stop The Music' into the mix as well? Honestly, way to screw up the album. It could have been huge and kept selling for ages if you spread the singles out, but there's been 3 videos in 3 months, and a fourth single is on the radio already! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? That's all I have to say for now. So once again in case it wasn't clear the first time: ISLAND - YOU SUCK. BIG TIME!

IT'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!11!omgz! THE EXCITMENT!!!1!!!etc.

SO THE NEW SUGABABES SINGLE FINALLY LEAKED IN HIGH QUALITY!!!!!111!!!!1 omgz
Thank goodness it did, cause the radio rip was starting to hurt my ears.
But anways! The song is sooo good. Probably my favourite single so far this year. It isn't trying too hard, it's nothing new. It's not "cutting edge." It's not "innovative." It's by-the-numbers pop. And it's AMAZING. And finally, nearly 2 years after joining, Amelle gets to take the lead in a song and show her talent! (For those of you living under a rock, Amelle joined the group after Mutya left in 2005. After she joined, she just re-recorded some songs they did with Mutya and released them as singles so it really didn't show anything). BUT THIS SHOWS ALOT, SHE GETS THE LEAD! The only downfall is that you can't hear Heidi until the third verse, and even in the chorus she doesn't join in until the last one, and she only says "about you now," give the poor girl some lines - she is my favourite after all!

And here's a proper one of their videos, this one's for 'Red Dress' which is also rather amazing.

(BY THE WAY, HEIDI'S THE BLONDE ONE, JUST DO YOU KNOW SO YOU CAN SPOT MY FAVOURITE MEMBER AND BE A CREEP LIKE THAT AND EVERYTHING!)

Oh have I got a tale to tell...

Honestly, how many gross trails people live in one town? They're so gross.
Okay, so today at work, this gross lady was trying to steal meat. So she kept throwing it in her purse. And then the secret shopper caught her. So she threw a fit saying it wasn't her. And she eventually started screaming, and trying to hit people. So the supervisors put her in the staircase and held the door shut, and she tried to punch them, and somehow broke one of the steps. Jeeze. Anger management much? So yeah, the police came and all that good stuff, and they let her go, but she had to give back all the meat she was trying to steal, OBVIOUSLY! We can't just give away meat! Even if you're a gross trails lady, there's no exceptions for you! Only for the native's they don't have to pay tax, one of them came in today and got their groceries WITHOUT ANY TAX! Incase you didn't know, not paying tax is pretty damn glamourous, I wish I was tax exempt! THEY SAVED LIKE A WHOLE 60CENTS! Do you know how much you can buy for 60cents? It's ALOT, obviously.

20 August 2007

And the countdown is on.

19 DAYS UNTIL I SEE HILARY DUFF IN CONCERT YET AGAIN.

Here's her song "Never Stop" to hold you all over until I get to post my amazing review of the concert, obviously.

Flashback.

Well, I was blog-browsing and found a link to download the old allSTARS album and it led me to remember how much I loved them when I was like 10 and they released their only album. Their singles are so ridiculous "Things Go Bump In The Night" (AS IN MONSTERS, OBVIOUSLY! Scary stuff!) and "The Land Of Make Believe" but I've found myself listening to them over and over again tonight. It's soooo cheesy, predictable 90s British pop material but I love it. They were like a wannabe S Club 7 and had a TV show and everything, I think it was called Star Street or something like that but I really don't have a clue.

Anyways, here's the video to their ever so wonderful single "The Land Of Make Believe"

AND WITNESS THEIR AMAZING ACTING SKILLS IN THIS VIDEO ("Things Go Bump In The Night")

Oh the memories! I wish I was still 10 and pop music like this was all around me...

Be jealous...

...that I bought this today and not you. It's amazing, I know.

17 August 2007

Oooh these are rare.

A re-release with a cover that's better than the original!

Victoria Beckham's book "That Extra Half An Inch" is finally getting an American release with this cover, which I must say I love. It's miles better than this nonsense that was the original UK cover.

Oh, and apparently the title is a "tongue in cheek reference to her love of high heels." AND HERE I WAS THINKING IT WAS ABOUT BEING ANO! Jeeze.

When bad logo's happen to good people.

Whoever is responsibly for this should be shot. It looks like it should be the logo for little Disney channel star or something. Why can't we just go back to this:

Or this:

Or even this:

Anything's better than that new crap. And to think that they want to try and break America with this shit. What nutters.

This hurts my eyes.

WHAT ARE THEY THINKING!?!?!?!?!
It's so horrible! A two-year-old could probably whip something better together. I get that they went back to the original "SPICE" logo and all, but they should have all the girls in the letters again or something, they did have a massive photoshoot for the cover of this after all. I'm really not impressed, at all.

Oh, wait! There is one good thing about this though, it's just called "Greatest Hits" instead of the awful "Spice Up Your Life: The Greatest Hits" that was originally planned, so there.

16 August 2007

This should be good...

15 August 2007

COSTUMES, ARE, SO, GLAMOUROUS!

Okay, so Robyn is just amazing. You might remember she released a few singles here in the 90s, namely "Show Me Love" and "Do You Know (What It Takes)". She then had a few minor hits in Europe but was unhappy with her record label. So she took action and bought herself out of her contract with Jive records and started her own label, Konichiwa Records, in her native Sweden. Since then she spent ages working on a comeback album and has come up with pop masterpieces. She released a self-titled album in Sweden in 2005, a new version of which was released in the UK this week. The album is full of amazing electro-pop tracks including this one "Konichiwa Bitches" which has what is one of my favourite videos of the year. It features Robyn in a wide assortment of costumes including a bumble bee, a microphone, and a wrecking ball. Sounds amazing, right? Check out the video here:

(Oh, and for your convenience, the lyrics are included on the screen in the video. Robyn is clearly just TOO good to her fans, allowing them to sing along with her)

Amazing.

Mandy Moore singing "Umbrella" by Rihanna - I LOVE IT.

13 August 2007

The way everyone should dance.

That's all.

What SHOULD have been the comeback of 2006.

Okay, so I HOPE everyone remembers All Saints, the girl group her were overshadowed by the Spice Girls for so long. Remember? Yeah, I thought so. They sang that wonderful song "Never Ever" and the main track from The Beach, "Pure Shores." Well, they were clearly all bitches and couldn't get along, which led to them splitting up after releasing only 2 (amazing) albums. But then they all grew up and figured out that maybe if they could stop all the bitching and Melanie could learn to share a few lines with the rest of the group that they could make good music again. SO THEY DID IT. And signed to a shit record label who put no money or effort into their comeback. So they released the brilliant "Rock Steady" as a single which did alright. They then released their flop-tastic album which led to them being dropped right after the video for "Chick Fit" was released. I could have cried. Their label were just ridiculous thinking that all the press about them would be enough to give them good album sales with no promotion. That never works! THEIR ALBUM IS SOOOOO GOOD. Stupid label just screwed them over. Clearly I need to get my own label going here and save all of these singers from the retards running all these other labels. SO WATCH THIS VIDEO FOR "CHICK FIT" SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT I'M GOING ON ABOUT.

Yeah, I know, the video's shit, just ignore it and listen. If you want something nice to look at watch this video for "Rock Steady"

They're robbing a bank! And the video's black and white! And they use whips! HOW GLAMOUROUS!
Oh! And Melanie doesn't get to wear any of the nice clothes, and is just the like getaway driver - payback bitch!

I am clearly illiterate.

And can't write to save my life. This sucks. That's all.

I want to see this.

So basically, "Rent" is going back on the West End in London, and it's being directed by William Baker (Kylie's art director) and starring Siobhán Donaghy. Which can obviously only mean one thing: IT'S GOING TO BE AMAZING. Why, oh why, do I have to live on this side of the earth when all the good stuff's on the other side?

It's spelt "glamour," bitch!

There's another "U" in "glamour" Fergie, you dumb ho! AMERICAN SPELLING ISN'T VERY GLAMOUROUS, duhhhhh.

Thank goodness SOME people, like Sara Love, can actually spell, which is important when you are releasing a single with a name as amazing as "Glamour Bitch!" Which clearly would not have the same impact if spelt "glamor" - it looks trailer spelt that way (right? Or am I way off here?). ANYWAYS! Back to Sara Love here. Anyone who had good taste in music when they were like 12 might remember her from the A*Teens. She was the one with dark hair and the ridiculously long last name with lots of vowels that started with an L. WELL SHE'S BACK! Finally, I might add. And her first single is AMAZING. Which I usually never say about songs that feature a rap. So that says alot right there. She needs to hurry it up and release an album now. In the meantine you can listen to "Glamour Bitch!" on her myspace here. Oh, and here's a picture of her back, she's clearly too glamourous to show us her face.

12 August 2007

One of the few people I actually feel sorry for.

...is Alexis Strum.
She's honestly so amazing, and she's like been screwed over so many times. Recorded an amazing album, was dropped by her label before its release and had all of her songs sold off by them. Found a new label, recorded an album which yet again wasn't released. AND IT'S ALL SO GOOD. Her first single "Bad Haircut" is brilliant. Like, who else could think of comparing a relationship to a bad haircut? It's simply genius.

I really don't understand how she's never managed to release and album, both of her unreleased one's are AMAZING. Clearly record companies are retarded.

I want these.

I would quite like these. If you want you could always just send me your credit card number, etc so I could order them. It would make me happy and probably make me post more, which would obviously be wonderful!
